Who we are?

Dominic Savio Welfare Society is an local NGO headquartered in Dimakuchi. It was registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 on 20/10/2022 Vide registration no. RS/UDLG/262/G/36 of 2022-2023. Dominic Savio Welfare Society an emerging NGO in the Dimakuchi area of Udalguri district, Assam. The organization focuses on improving the lives of vulnerable populations and addressing various challenges. Community development involves a wide range of works and activities aimed at improving the well-being, quality of life, and overall sustainability of a community. These works can be diverse and multifaceted, addressing various aspects of social, economic, and environmental dimensions.

By establishing a Village-level Leadership Council, Dominic Savio Welfare Society aims to empower local communities to engage meaningfully with multiple stakeholders, including governmental bodies, and advocate through education programs like establishing and improving government schools, educational outreach and awareness campaigns, healthcare Initiatives, sports and recreational Initiatives, counseling and mental health support. As a result, development achievements will be more sustainably made, and communities will be assisted in addressing the underlying reasons for the development difficulties they encounter.

Together, we are striving to improve the future for the next generation. We work relentlessly to promote education for all and youth empowerment as part of our purpose.
